The SYCAMORES  Blackpool Old Road

We are currently researching the house once known as The Sycamores on Blackpool Old Road opposite Poulton Library  It was the home of Sir William Hodgson from 1860 when he was orphaned at 3 years of age, until his death in 1945.

The gardens of the house are to be the site of a block of new apartments, to be called The Sycamores.
CARLETON
The Society is planning to research the history of Carleton in some detail, with a view to producing a book on the subject in the future.

We aim to cover the history from the earliest records - the pre-historic elk of 12000 years ago to the present day

We would be very pleased to receive any assistance in the way of photographs, ephemera, documents and other material which we could copy and return to the owner.
